The first single of the year from the group I Prevail has been released, in collaboration with ILLENIUM and Excision. Very surprising but effective mixture.
The song begins with the clear voice of the lead singer of I Prevail, supported by a light instrumental base. The electronic influences arrive during the pre-chorus, where we have a build-up with a more advanced guitar and backing vocals.
It explodes in the chorus, with low but effective bass, all well put together by ILLENIUM who is not at his first hit.
In terms of lyrics, we find the same thread as for the last album of I Prevail TRAUMA, released last year, which is a general feeling of pain and loneliness.
The bridge is very astonishing, with the powerful voice of the screamer of I Prevail, mixed with an instrumental, certainly done by Excision. This electronic influence was already there on a title of their album, Rise Above It with Justin Stone, but is much more extensive here: logical when we see the two other artists who cowrote this title!
Little more, the cover of the single is absolutely magnificent with a dinosaur and a phoenix fighting in the middle of a fire. The design of the clip is built around the same idea, and is beautiful.
This collab is the first of the year for I Prevail, but apparently not the last: 'still got some big things planned for the rest of the trauma cycle too...'
